Children who attend Corner House Crèche are provided with Early Education and Childcare in a safe, caring and stimulating environment. Staff follow the Pre-Birth to Three guidelines, Building the Ambition and Argyll and Bute’s Developmental Milestones. We also support the Child Smile tooth brushing initiative.
B.A.S.I.C. and Corner House Crèche is regulated by the Care Inspectorate.
Children are supported in their learning by highly qualified and experienced staff members. Each child is allocated a dedicated key worker; this helps to promote consistency of care within the setting. All children have individual Leaning Stories as well as an Online profile contained within our Learning Journal System, both of which document the children’s learning within the crèche environment. Play activities are based upon the children’s interests, this is expanded as the staff get to know your child and their individual abilities and interests. Next steps are planned for each and every child to help them develop to their full potential within the crèche environment.
B.A.S.I.C. out of school club and The Cornerhouse Créche early learning service was founded over 20 years ago by a small group of mothers, for mothers (essentially looking after each others children).
